Academic Background

I am a Technical Officer in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering and Materials Science at the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay. Since 2005, I have been managing advanced materials characterization facilities, including the Institute Central Facility for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) and departmental SEM/EDS, TGA, and DSC laboratories. My work involves instrument operation and maintenance, user training, laboratory management, and providing technical support for research projects involving students, faculty, industry, and national research organizations.

Responsibilities
•    Manage the Institute Central Facility for Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) on a 24×7 basis. 
•    Handle advanced characterization projects in collaboration with premier organizations including ISRO, BARC, and NMRL under MoUs. 
•    Provide technical consultation to internal and external users.
•    Operated SEM/EDS, TGA and DSC systems.
